Veterinary Pet Insurance - VPI Pet is a SCAM!
We had VPI Pet insurance from March 2011 through January 2012 when we just caught on that they are a big SCAM. DON"T even consider this company.
They took over 6 months to process our claim and then had every excuse on why they couldn't cover the claim. Our dog was diagnosed with allergies after our policy started and they are trying to say it was a pre-existing condition! It's ridiculous. So whatever you submit, they will find a way NOT to cover it.
Spread the word this company is a huge SCAM!
My neighbor warned me after I started the policy that they were a SCAM, but we learned the hard way.
Monetary Loss: $500.

I am also looking to get on a class action law suit against them. My dog had $3000 worth of surgery & they said there was no "code" for trauma to have caused the injury that led to the surgery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am beyond crazy right now!!!!! WE NEED A LAWYER TO GET ON BOARD WITH US PEOPLE!!!!!!
Samething here in Minnesota....They have had a reason every time I submitted a claim not to pay!! It's time to renew the policy, so I'm looking for a new company!! :(
Can you say Class Action Lawsuit?
Same situation here - a condition the 'could potentially be related to allegies' is not covered.
Horrible company. so sorry I started with them and mad at myself for not seeing the reviews all over the internet. They added a pre existing condition to my dog AFTER they sent me the paperwork and enrolled him. Now they won’t pay for testing we had done and threw in this no existing pre existing condition as the reason why. I suggest everyone contact:
